A lot of young people today find it difficult to get a job, especially in the first few months after they leave school. This is much more of a problem now than it was in the past. In some parts of the country many young people in the last years of school will be without a job for a whole year after leaving school.
Our Jobs Information Service has been in touch with thousands of young people over the last two or three years, talking to them about their hopes and their fears, and we have in fact been able to give a lot of help and advice to young people who have just left school.
