M: Where have you been all the time? The train is about to leave.
W: I’m sorry I’m late, but I was waiting for you in the waiting room upstairs. I didn’t know you are here on the platform.
Text 3
M: I’d better be going.
W: So soon? Why don’t you stay a little longer?
M: I wish I could, but it’s already late.
W: Oh, it’s a shame that you have to leave.
M: Thank you for a wonderful supper.
W: I’m glad you enjoyed it.

W: How can I get to your house?
M: Oh, it’s very easy. My house is only five minutes’ walk from the station. Turn right outside the station, and then it’s the third street on the left. You can’t miss it. It’s got the number on the gate. It’s exactly opposite the park.
W: I see. Thanks.

W: Medium. The same size as I do.
M: Would she like this style?
W: No, do you have something different from this one?
M: What about this one?
W: The style is fine, but the color is too dark. Do you have something brighter?
M: How about this one?
W: It’s too expensive. Do you have something cheaper?
M: Yes, we do. There is a budget department on the first floor. Why don’t you check there?
W: Okay. Thank you very much.

Now, here is news:
An early morning fire damaged the Historic Geller House today. It destroyed the third floor of the building, but fire-fighters saved the first and the second floors. There were a few elderly people living in the building at the time and they were carried to safety. The Geller House was built in 1718, and was used as a hotel for over 150 years. George Washington stayed here in 1782.The Geller’s owned the house until 1930’s.Then they sold it to the Mill’s family. Five years ago, it was made into a building for the elderly. Several fire departments were called to the scene. When we asked Fire Chief Andrew Barnes how the fire started, he answered that most likely a burning cigarette caused it. Chief Barnes promised a further investigation into the cause.
