The Year of the Monkey has come. I’m also a monkey. Monkey implies intelligence, agility and good fortune. So it’s a good year full of hope and energy.
猴年到了。我也属猴。猴代表着智慧、灵活与好运。所以这将是充满着希望与活力的好年。

This year is also the first year of the implementation of Sustainable Development Goals. Wish to have a good start for the year of the lucky monkey.
今年也是可持续发展目标实施的第一年。希望幸运的猴年成为良好的开端。

I thank China and Chinese people for supporting the work of the United Nations and myself in the past nine years.
我感谢中国以及中国人民对联合国工作以及对我本人过去九年的支持。

I hope we can all continue to work together towards a better future.
