Unit 5
Listening
Tom: Good afternoon. My name’s Tom Green. I work for the World Wide Fund for Nature. It’s also known as the WWF. We work in around 100 countries and have close to five million members. We want to help make the world a better place for people and animals to live in. Did you know that there are thousands of endangered animals around the world? These animals may all die soon if we don’t take good care of them. South China tigers, giant pandas and Asian elephants are all endangered animals. They’re endangered because people cut down forests and pollute the water. A world without these beautiful animals would be a sad place. We must all work together to make sure they do not disappear. The WWF works to protect the endangered animals and their homes. Why not join us and help save the endangered animals around the world?
