Credit information in publishing is written acknowledgment of individuals and agencies who have been involved in producing the book.

Here are some examples of credit information:

 
  • Written acknowledgement of an agency that has funded the book.

    Note:

    Such agencies often have standard statements they wish to have included. If not, a simple statement of recognition or acknowledgment, including the full recognized name and country of the agency, is usually sufficient.

  • Names of contributing artists, authors, or editors
  • Permissions information

    Example:

    Permissions to include material published elsewhere such as illustrations, maps, and charts
