	Program activities are those events such as meetings, workshops, trips, classes, and publications which, all together, enable one to achieve specific goals and objectives.

Characteristics

Here are some characteristics of well-defined program activities:

They are specific and measurable.
They are well-defined events with easily discernible beginning and end points.

They are composed of constituent program activities.

Example:

One program activity might be to produce and publish 25 titles in a given language. This program activity, in turn, could have constituent or embedded activities to produce and publish each of these publications. Each of these, in turn, could have constituent activities of drafting the text, editing and revising, typesetting, printing, and distributing.
