The pilgrims

In September 1620, some English people traveled to America by ship. The name of the ship was Mayflower.

In November 1620, they got to America. They made their new home there.

It was winter. They didn't have enough food. They were very hungry.

Spring came. They learned to grow corn from the Indian people.

In autumn they had a very good harvest. Now they had enough food for the coming winter.

They had a big dinner party with their Indian friends. They thanked God for giving them food.
