The National Development and Reform Commission has announced plans to cushion the impact on vulnerable groups and public services, after raising the retail price ceilings on gas and diesel.
The NDRC says the ticket prices on trains and buses will not change. The road tolls will be discharged for vehicles loaded with live agricultural products. All public transit fees will be reviewed, and those that are not authorized will be removed. Agricultural, fishery and city transportation will receive oil subsidies. Taxi drivers will also receive temporary subsidies until fares are adjusted.
