Teaching writing can be one of the most difficult challenges for an English teacher. Even when students know all of the vocabulary and the grammar that’s necessary, they can still sometimes be unsure of how to begin a writing task. We as teachers need to do our best to build up a our class’s difficulty step by step. We can help students by giving them some smaller, easier tasks, then give them increasingly more difficult ones. Notice in this class how the teacher gives parts of sentences needed to complete the exercise, which helps guide students in their writing.
