The legendary soul singer and song writer Bobby Womackhas died at the age of 70.

His parents always told him he could sing his way out of the ghetto and Bobby Womack did just that. Born in Ohio in 1944, he started singing with his brother at the age of just 10. Nor Gabear is well-known face in her era of Cairo. Everyone knows her as the only female taxi driver. But it hasn't been an easy road.

When I split from my husband, I felt I was in a new world with three small children. I wanted to bring them up properly. I worked a lot. I decided to buy a taxi to rent out, but I found that I wasn't making enough money and couldn't go on like that. So one day I took the taxi and drove it myself. Day by day, I started getting more customers and I carried on driving and felt I was doing well.

And she gets the positive reaction from customers.

For our society, it is a strange thing for a woman to drive a taxi. But I found her to be a kind woman and I took her number.

It was difficult to accept at first.

It was criticism from some in the family, but now they say she is right. And outside there were people who were saying, why does she have to drive? They thought she was exhausting herself, but so what? It's her own business and she is developing her freedom. She is earning a legal wage.

Having successfully created a job for herself on the streets, Nor wants to help other women do the same.
