Somebody's hands are tied 无能为力

如果一个人的双手被捆住了，那么这个人则无法动弹，也没办法做自己想要做的事情。在英语中，我们用表达“somebody’s hands are tied 某人的双手被绑上了”来形容一个人身不由己、无能为力的状态。我们多在口语中使用这个说法。
