And I hope that in their personal life, in their professional life as a country they really have a good year from all perspective.
Jim Yong Kim: Zhu chun jie kuaile(祝春节快乐!Happy New Year!) Guo Jian Da Ji(过年大吉!Wish you good luck!)
I want to wish all the people in China a very Happy New Year, the year of the dog. This is a year that I hope will really cement the growth that we've seen and will continue to bring prosperity to many. You know, I say all the time that China has done something that no other country in the world has done, lifted more than eight hundred million people out of extreme poverty. We look forward to working with the Chinese government, Chinese corporations, with the Chinese people to try to bring these lessons to all other parts of the world. China is a source of hope for so many of the people that I work with in South Asia ,in Africa where people are living in extreme poverty. We think that we can take the lessons that you've shown us in China to the rest of the world and bring the kind of prosperity that we hope for you to everyone.
As the Chinese lunar New Year is around the corner, International Monetary Fund chief Christine Lagarde and World Bank President Jim Yong Kim have given their wishes to the Chinese people.
