一.Introduction
Boys and girls, I’m your new teacher. My name is Bian Hongjuan. I’m very glad to be here with you. Now ,Please look the screen. Are they beautiful? Yes, they are very beautiful. They are from TingHu. I’m from TingHu too This is my school----Bian Cang Middle School. It is very small , But it is very clean. BianCang is famous fir its beautiful flowers-----peonies. If you have time, you can visit BianCang and enjoy the flowers. Now, let’s begin our class.(用牡丹花进行自我介绍,贴切实际,拉近距离)

We have known that animals have their abilities. For example.
1,Fish can sleep with their eyes open.
2,Elephants can walk on tip toe.
3,A tortoise can live up to 150 years old.
4,Ants can smell things as well as dogs can.(复习前面已学的知识,又渗透了将要学的内容)

What’s a bird’s ability? What can a bird do?
S: It can fly
T: Can a dog fly?
S: No, it can’t.
T: But maybe a superdog can.
