This fall, grade 7 teachers will begin to use the new version of Go for it! They will see that now, in each unit, there are dialogs for language practice. These are excellent for teaching English, and teachers will love having this extra language input. The problem, though, is that students often treat dialogs as reading practice, and they tend not to look at each other when reading them. This is not natural! Take a look at the “new rule” that is used in this dialog practice, called “Read and Look Up”. This method can be used even with the older versions of Go for it! for speaking practice, or when students write their own dialogs. Try it out!
