《新标准英语》第一册

How many boys? 教学设计

 

一、教学内容

    外语教学与研究出版社《新标准英语》第一册(供三年级起始用)Module 4 Unit 2 How many boys ?

二、教学目标

    1. 知识目标:能听懂会说数字1-10;能听懂会说How many…?及答句。2. 能力目标:使学生能在实际生活中很好地运用所学知识。

三、教学重点

1.    Numbers: 6, 7, 8, 9, 10.

2.    Sentence Pattern: How many boys?

四、教学难点

1.    The pronunciation of “ten”.

2.    Use the numbers and pattern to solute the task.

五、课前准备

    Multi-media, number cards and some other objects.

六、教学过程

Step 1: Warming up

1.   Say a chant.

2.   Listen to a number song. (Ten Little Indian Boys)

If the pupils like, they can sing along with the song no matter they know it or not.

设计意图:通过课前的热身活动,活跃课堂气氛,调动学生的学习兴趣,为新课的教学创造积极的条件。

Step 2: Revision/Lead in

1.     Greetings.

2.     Revise the numbers(1-5):

Show the number cards to the students and ask them to call out as quickly as they can.

Listen and say out the numbers.(Teacher claps hands.)

Listen and act.

T: Jump 4 times.    Ss:(Jump and say): One, two, three, four.

设计意图:复习数字1-5。学生从看、听说数字,到边做动作,边数数,真正做到了“眼到、口到、心到、身到”,同时又使学生以饱满的热情投入到新的学习中来。有趣的新课导入方式可以创造一个生动活泼的课堂教学气氛,给人一种“课伊始,趣亦生”的感觉,可以在极短的时间内吸引学生的注意力。

Step 3 : New Lessons (I)

    1. Introduce our good friend Lingling to the children.

2. Tell the children about Lingling’s lucky number and ask the children

 If they want to know their lucky numbers.(Presenting task.)

设计意图:介绍我们的好朋友,一方面紧扣教材,另一方面为下面的教学埋下素材伏笔。通过幸运数字这一学生很感兴趣的事物给出本节课的任务,让学生带着任务去学习,贯穿运用真实任务教学法。

3. Learn new numbers.

Introduce the new number friends to the children.

T: Look, our new friends are coming. (The children watch the screen and get to know the numbers.)  Elicit numbers 6,7,8,9,10 to teach, meanwhile use the multi-media to learn the numbers from six to ten.

设计意图:利用多媒体课件引出新内容,童趣盎然,不仅让学生通过听觉来学习单词,而且还通过视觉、动作等其他方式来学习。有效地吸引了学生的注意力,激发学生的学习动机,从而提高教学效率。

Step 4: Consolidation

1.    Read the number cards from one to ten.

  Pay attention to “two” and “ten”, “four” and “five”.

2. A guessing game: Which number is missing?

3. Who is faster?

Teacher mouth the numbers without saying them. The children read the teacher’s lips and then stand up to repeat the numbers. Let the children choose the winners who will get a prize.

4. Listen and act: Jump 3 times. Clap 9 times. Stamp 7 times….

设计意图:适时的比赛,不仅巩固了新知识,而且通过奖励,使学生始终保持强烈的兴趣和信心,积极参与到语言实践中来。采用TPR教学法,一方面充分调动了学生学习的积极性,另一方面可以培养学生各种身体机能的协调发展。

Step 5: New Lessons (II)

1. Let the children watch the screen. UseHow many …? to put forward questions.

How many cats /dogs / red caps / green caps / books / pens / pencils?

Five / Two / Six / Ten / Four / Three / Eight .

2. First for things shown by CAI, then for things in the classroom, at last for pupils in the classroom.

How many boys /girls?  Seven / Nine .

3. Practice the sentences in pairs .

S1: How many caps?

S2: Two.

4. A guessing game: How many ….?

Show the children part of the pictures, let boys and girls ask and guess the numbers.

设计意图:利用电脑课件,引入新句型,在学习新句型的同时复习已学的数字,并引导学生将数字运用于日常交际中,使学生的语言交际能力得到充分的发展。

Step 5: Extension

1. Write down the teacher’s telephone numbers, and ask the children to say it out.

2. Ask the children to write down their own telephone numbers and tell the class or partners.

3. Then listen to some groups of telephone numbers and try to repeat it.

4. Show some special telephone numbers to the class, asking them to say and remember the important numbers in their life.(110 , 119 , 120 , 114 , 122)

5. Discuss

  Ask the children where they can use English numbers else.

(Telephone number, car number, post-code, time, date, cinema ticket,

room number, Maths, etc.)

6. Teacher demonstrates how to get lucky numbers.

设计意图:循序渐进地进行扩展练习,从“看说”——“听说”,可逐步加深对所学知识的掌握。引入生活中的一些重要号码,在训练的同时对学生进行了生活常识的教育。通过讨论,给学生创造自主学习的空间,能培养学生观察能力,激发参与意识。

Step 6: Homework

Teach pupils’ parents to calculate and say their lucky numbers.

设计意图:课堂上的运用时间毕竟有限,更多的运用机会是在课后,通过家庭作业,让学生学了能用,培养了学生综合运用英语的能力。
