Hello, everyone! My name is Li Hua.Today, I’m very glad to have the chance to take part in this English speech contest.My special birthday gift for my parents is doing housework.
I have been busy with my study and seldom helped my parents with the housework.Feeling sorry for them I began to think about what to do to help.
Last Saturday was my mother’s birthday and my parents went out to see a film.It occurred to me that I could give the rooms a thorough cleaning.Firstly, I collected all the books, newspapers and other things scattered in the rooms and put them in place.Then, I wiped the furniture.After that, I swept and mopped the floor.
At that moment, my parents came back and were quite surprised to see all the rooms tidy.My mother gave me a hug and I could see her tears in her eyes.Tired as I was, I felt so happy!
