The winter vacation is coming. 寒假快到了。

I am going to read some books about Canada,  我要看些和加拿大有关的书。

because I am going there to meet my pen pal, Ted. 因为我要去那看我的笔友，泰德。

I hear there is a lot of snow in Canada, so I want to learn to ski. 我听说那经常下雪，所以我想学滑冰。

Ted is a skiing fan and he is going to teach me. 泰德特别喜欢滑冰，他将会教我。

I think it will be hard, but I want to have a try! 我觉得一定很难，但是我想试试。

I'm excited! A wonderful winter vacation is waiting for me! 我很激动！完美的假期在等着我！

In this winter vacation, I am going to prepare for a Peking Opera competition. 在这个寒假，我要为北京戏剧比赛做准备。

Last year, my clock was broken. 去年，我的闹钟坏了。

I was late and missed the competition. 我迟到并且错过了比赛。

That was a great pity. 那真的很遗憾。

I hope I can win the first prize this year. 我希望我今年能得第一。

I am also going to Xiamen to visit my grandparents. 我还要去厦门看我祖父母。

Xiamen is in the south of China. 厦门在中国南部。

I am going to give my photos of the competition to them. 我要去给他们看我竞赛的照片。

I think they will be very happy! I am looking forward to seeing them. 我觉得他们一定会很开心的！我很期待看到他们。
