Story 1 故事一

When Sharon was fifteen years old, she lost her sight.  夏伦十五岁时,她失明了。

She went to a school for blind children. 她去了盲人儿童学校。

She wanted to go to many places and do many things, so she decided to get a special dog for blind people - a guide dog. 她想去很多地方,做很多很多事,所以她决定找一个为盲人服务的特殊的狗——导盲犬。

After Sharon studied how to work with a guide dog, she got her own guide dog, Bobo. 夏伦学了如何和导盲犬一起生活之后,她有了她自己的导盲犬,波波。

Bobo and Sharon always walk together. 波波和夏伦总是一起散步。

Bobo knows how to tell Sharon when to cross the street, when to stop, and when to turn left or right. 波波知道怎么告诉夏伦要过马路,什么时候停,和什么时候向左、向右转。

Sharon can go wherever she wants with Bobo. 夏伦和波波一起去任何想去的地方。

She loves her guide dog. 她爱她的导盲犬。

Story 2 故事二

One night, when Daniel was sleeping, he heard a terrible noise. 某晚,当丹尼尔睡觉的时候,他听到一个奇怪的声响。

His cat Precious was crying. 他的猫珍惜在哭泣。

Daniel was very tired, so he didn't get up. 丹尼尔很累,所以他没起来。

Then Daniel's face felt wet - Precious was licking his face. 接着，丹尼尔的脸感觉到一阵湿润——珍惜在舔他的脸。

Daniel pushed her away. 丹尼尔推开了她。

Suddenly, Precious bit Daniel's ear very hard. 突然,珍惜狠狠咬了丹尼尔的耳朵一口。

Daniel sat up. 丹尼尔坐起来了。

The room was very hot and there was a lot of smoke. 房间很热，有很多烟。

His house was on fire! He picked up Precious and ran out of the house. 他的房子着火了！他抱起珍惜跑出房间。

Daniel was very happy with Precious. His clever cat saved him! 丹尼尔很开心。他聪明的猫救了他！
