The Special Carpenter特殊的木匠

Once upon a time,从前

there was a boy called Lu Ban.有一个叫鲁班的男孩。  

Lu Ban loved wood.鲁班很喜欢木头。 

He wanted to be a carpenter.他想成为一名木匠。 

In fact, he wanted to be a very,事实上，他想成为一名非常 

very good carpenter.非常棒的木匠。

Lu Ban needed to find a good teacher.鲁班需要找到一名好师傅。 

So he said goodbye to his parents 于是他向父母告别，

and left home to find a teacher.离家去寻找师傅。

He walked and walked.他走啊走。他非常疲惫， 

He was very tired, but he didn't stop.但是他没有停下来。

Then he saw a very high mountain.然后他看到了一座非常高的山。 

He could not see any road across the mountain.他看不到有翻过这座山的路。

"How am I going to cross this mountain?" he thought.“我要怎样翻过这座山呢？”他想。

Then he saw an old man near the mountain.然后他在山附近看到一位老人。 

Lu Ban asked the old man,鲁班问这位老人， 

"Is there a road to cross the mountain?"“有路可以翻过这座山吗？”

"There is no road," said the old man.“没有路，”老人说道。 

"No one can pass this mountain.“没人可以过这座山。 

It is too difficult," he said.太难了。”他说。

But Lu Ban carried on.可是鲁班接着走。 

He climbed and climbed.他爬啊爬。 

It was very dangerous,这非常危险， 

but he didn't stop.但是他没有停下。 

Finally, he reached the other side.最后，他到了山的另一边。 

Then he carried on walking.然后他接着往前走。

Lu Ban found a very good teacher.鲁班找到了一位非常好的师傅。 

The teacher told Lu Ban to clean his tools for seven days.师傅让鲁班清理工具七天。 

Lu Ban did this.鲁班照做了。 

Then the teacher told him然后师傅叫他

to make one thousand holes in some wood.在木头上凿一千个洞。 

Lu Ban did everything the teacher said.师傅说的事情鲁班全都照做了。

Then the teacher said,然后师傅说， 

"Now I know you really want to be a good carpenter.“现在我知道你真的想做一个好木匠。 

I will teach you."我会教你的。”

Lu Ban was very happy.鲁班非常开心。 

Lu Ban stayed for three years with his teacher.鲁班跟着师傅呆了三年。 

Then he became a great carpenter.然后他成为了一名非常棒的木匠。 

He is famous all over China till today.直到今天他依然闻名全中国。
