The Different Duck丑小鸭

A duck is sitting on five eggs.一只鸭子在孵五个蛋。

The eggs break and five baby ducks come out. 蛋破了，五只鸭宝宝出来了。

The mother duck looks at her babies. 妈妈看着她的宝宝们。

She has four beautiful baby ducks.她有四只美丽的鸭宝宝。

But one is different.但有一只不一样。 

It is big and grey.它又大又灰。

Its legs are very long.它的腿非常长。

The mother duck doesn't like this baby duck.鸭妈妈不喜欢这只鸭宝宝。

"Go away," she says to the different duck.“走开，”她对那只丑小鸭说。

"You are not my baby."“你不是我的宝宝。”

The different duck says goodbye and goes away.丑小鸭说了再见，便离开了。

It is sad.它很伤心。

Then it sees a mother pig with her baby pigs.然后它看见了猪妈妈和她的猪宝宝。

"Are you my mother?" it asks.“你是我的妈妈吗？”它问。

"No," says the mother pig.“不，”猪妈妈说。

"I'm not your mother. Go away."“我不是你的妈妈。走开。”

So the different duck goes away. 于是丑小鸭离开了。

Soon it sees a fox.然后它看见了一只狐狸。

"Am I your baby?" “我是你的宝宝吗？”

the different duck asks the fox.丑小鸭问狐狸。

"No, you're not my baby," says the fox.“不，你不是我的宝宝，”狐狸说。

"But I like you.“但是我喜欢你。

I will eat you for dinner."我要把你当作晚餐。”

The different duck runs away.丑小鸭逃走了。

It is very sad. It wants its mother.它非常伤心。它想要它的妈妈。

Then it hears a voice.然后它听见一个声音。

"You are very beautiful.“你真漂亮。

I am your mother."我是你的妈妈。”

The different duck looks up.丑小鸭抬头看。

It is a big, white bird.是一只大的白色的鸟儿。

It has got a long neck.它有着长脖子。

"I am a swan," say the white bird.“我是一只天鹅”，白色的鸟儿说。

"And you are a baby swan.“你是天鹅宝宝。

You see, here are your brothers and sisters."你看，这儿是你的兄弟姐妹。”

"So, I'm not a different duck.“所以，我不是丑小鸭了。

I'm a swan!" says the baby swan.我是一只天鹅！”天鹅宝宝说。

Soon, the baby swan grows up.很快，天鹅宝宝长大了。

It becomes very beautiful.它变得非常美丽。
