In our country people celebrate special days in different ways.
我们国家的人民会用很多不同的方式来庆祝特别的日子。
Water-splashing Festival泼水节
The Water-splashing Festival is the New Year in the Dai calendar.Itusually takes place in mid April,and lasts three to seven days.People dress upin traditional clothes and splash water on anyone passing by.The more you getsplashed, the more good luck you will have in the new year.
泼水节是傣历的新年。泼水节常在四月中旬，持续三到七天。人们穿起民族服饰，在路过的任何一个人身上泼水。被泼的水越多，来年就会有更多的好运。
Tibetan New Year藏历新年
The Tibetan people celebrate the Tibetan New Year over a period oftwo weeks,usually during the months of December and January.According to the Tibetancalendar,the New Year lasts from the first day of the first month to thefifteenth day of the first month.The first three days are the most important.
藏族人庆祝藏历新年，通常会在一月到二月之间持续两周。根据藏历，新年会从第一个月的第一天持续到第十五天。前三天是最重要的。
On the first day, Tibetans get up early,take a bath and put on newclothes.They stay at home to pray(祈祷)and celebrate.Onthe second day ,people visit relatives and friends.On the third day,each Tibetanfamily puts up a prayer flag that will fly on their rooftop for the whole year.
在第一天，藏族人起得很早，洗个澡并穿上新衣服。他们呆在家里祈祷并庆祝。在第二天，人们去拜访亲戚朋友。在第三天，每个藏族家庭都会挂起经幡。这个经幡会全年飘扬在藏族家庭的屋顶。
Third Month Fair火把节
For the Bai people,the Third Month Fair is their most importantfestival.They celebrate it every year during the third month of the Chinesecalendar,from 15th to 20th of the month.The Bai peoplehold the festival to pray for a good harvest.There are dances,shows,sports ,andhorse races during the festival.
对白族人来说，火把节是他们最重要的节日。它们在中国农历每年的第三个月十五号到二十号期间庆祝火把节。白族人用这个节日来祈求丰收。在节日期间有舞蹈，表演，运动和赛马。

直升机没有跑到就可以起飞和降落。它们能在空中保持静止。这使得直升机在各种不同的工作中都称为十分有用的交通工具，例如消防和海上救援。
A big jumbo jet carries more than 500 people.The Airbus 380 is thelargest plane in the world.It can carry 840 people.
