Teaching steps:

 

Step 1.Revision

1.       Sing a song :Ten little boys.

2.       The daily dialog.

Step 2.Presentation

       1.New words :The parts of the body.

        Draw a head on the BB and use the picture to teach words: head, nose, eye, hair, ear, mouth.

       2.Game: Say and Point .

        T say a part of the body and Ss point it by themselves.

       3.New words: adjective

        Use objects teach the words: short-long short-tall wide-narrow big-small strong

       4.Teacher point nose of head on the BB and say :His nose is big. His mouth is wide. His hair is short. His eyes are small. His ears are small.

       5.Other words: favorite film star, many, kung fu.

       6.Teacher stick Chen Long’s photo on the BB and let Ss listen the dialog with tape. Then let Ss answer questions. “Who is this man in the picture? Is he a film star? What about his nose? What about his eyes and hair? What about his mouth?

       7.Let Ss read it by themselves.

Step 3.Drilling

       Let Ss read dialog in chorus.

       Let Ss describe the appearances each other. “Your eyes are big. His hair is short.”

Step 4.Practice

       Let Ss do 1b of P25.(Draw a picture of your favorite film star and talk about what he/she looks like each other. )

Step 5.Consolidation

      Play a game. Let S come to the front and draw a boy (a girl) in this class on the BB. Ss describe his (her ) appearances. Then Let Ss guess who he is.

Step 6.Homework

       Let Ss draw a boy or a girl at home and write parts of the body.
