好的，先来讲 “no more”。

Beth
'No more' is used before nouns to talk about quantity or degree.

Jiaying
“No more” 可以用在名词前，表示事物 “一点也不剩”。

Examples
There are no more biscuits.
（没有饼干了。）

There is no more milk.
（没有牛奶了。）

Jiaying
在这两个例句中，“no more” 的意思都是 “没有”，也就是 “饼干和牛奶的量均为零”：no more biscuits；no more milk。

我们接着来讲 “no longer”。

'No longer' is used to show actions or situations stopping.

Jiaying
“No longer” 用来描述 “动作或情况不再持续”，也就是 “停止了”，它作副词使用，所以应放在主动词前。如果主动词是 “be” 动词，“no longer” 则跟在后面。听两个例句。

Examples
Lina no longer lives here.
（莉娜已经不住在这里了。）

They are no longer in a relationship.
（他们不再交往了。）

在这两个例句中，“no longer” 都表示 “不再持续进行”。

'No longer' can sound quite formal. So, to make it sound more natural or less formal, we can make the main verb negative and use 'any more' instead of 'no longer'.

Jiaying
是的，固定搭配 “no longer” 比较正式，和 “no longer” 意思相同，但没它那么正式的搭配 “any more” 在日常交流中的使用频率也很高。用 “any more” 表示“不再…”的时候，谓语动词要变否定式。还要注意：“anymore”既可以写成一个词，也可以写成两个词“any more”，而且要放在句尾。

Examples
Lina doesn't live here anymore.
（莉娜已经不住在这里了。）

They aren't in a relationship any more.
（他们已经不再交往了。）

There is one situation where 'no more' and 'no longer' can be used interchangeably, and this is when it's used for the actual length of time or a measurement.

Jiaying
“No more” 和 “no longer” 只有在用来限定时间或尺寸时，可以互换使用，也就是 “be no more than”、“be no longer than”，意思是 “不多于…，不超过…”，后面接具体的时间或数字。听两组例句，句中分别用了 “no more” 和 “no longer”，每组中两句话的意思完全相同。

Examples
The rope should be no more than two metres.
The rope should be no longer than two metres.
（绳子不应超过两米。）

We'll be out no more than two hours.
We'll be out no longer than two hours.
（我们外出不超过两个小时。）
